A Year Out The Window
Did you ever eat a bat? (Retiro Way #0)
The title, a quote from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, is used in reference to the urban legend that claims the COVID-19-causing coronavirus made the jump from bats to humans when someone in Wuhan, China ate an undercooked bat, with the number in the subtitle denoting both a pandemic “point zero” — in the manner of a “kilometer zero” for cities and of a “patient zero” in a disease outbreak — and the lack of validity in the aforementioned urban legend.
