Portfolio > A Year Out The Window

Sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast. (Fillmore Street #Q 10^100)

The title, a quote from Lewis Carroll’s Through The Looking-Glass, is used along with the “Q” in the subtitle as a reference to assorted conspiracy theories, and to those who fall prey to them. The number in the subtitle, called a “googol” — a quantity containing billions of billions, and greater than the estimated number of elementary particles in the universe, dark matter excluded — is the figure that inspired the name of the Google search engine, and is used here in reference to the seemingly endless amount of misinformation that the internet can spread and that far too many will believe.

(Note: This platform won't allow for superscripts, so "10 to the 100th power" is alternatively expressed with the caret symbol to signify exponentiation.)
