Tangerine Apocalypse (There Goes The Fillmore Bus #100+)

The title refers to the day on which San Francisco Bay Area skies turned blood-red at first, then red-orange, and eventually orange because of the multiple wildfires simultaneously burning across the West Coast — over one-hundred in all in 2020 (as noted in the subtitle), adding up to the worst fire season on record and underscoring the severity of climate change. The title is also intended as an oblique reference to our nation’s democracy approaching a violent demise at the hands of an orange-tinted president and his administration — administration also responsible for recklessly rolling back over a hundred environmental-protection policies, many of which had been put in place to mitigate climate change.
